Environment Picture

Since 1980, the Michigan Environmental Council has been at the forefront of efforts to protect our Great Lakes, promote sustainable cities, safeguard public health and establish clean energy policies for a more vibrant economy. We are a strong and steady presence in the Capitol, working on behalf of our more than 70 member groups to provide our members and their representatives accurate information about legislation and regulations that affect our state's economic security and our precious land, air, water and energy resources. We are dedicated to helping residents and lawmakers understand the connection between our natural environment, our economy and the public policy decisions being made in Lansing every day.
